Sara Emma (Stogner) Cook

Sara Emma Stogner Cook, age 91, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Woodbury Health & Rehab.  She was a native of Rockingham, North Carolina.

Survivors include her sons, Chip (Linda) Cook of Woodbury & Travis (Lola) Cook of Bradyville; Grandchildren, Trey (Whitney) Cook, Nancy Cook, Maggie Cook, Libbie Cook, Duncan Cook & Lucas Barrett; Great Grandchildren, Jacob & Haley Cook.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Cora King Stogner; her husband, Bro. Hank Cook and her siblings, Mattie Hughes, Grady Stogner, Lewis Stogner, Virginia Deese, & Bobby Stogner.

She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and retired at the age of 72 from Stones River Hospital as a CNA and the unite secretary.  She was one of the first employees of Stones River Hospital.  In her younger years, she was a fashion model for Belk and Ivey's.

Funeral Services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Cripps & Bro. Jonathan Womack officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Woodbury Funeral Home and from 10 AM until time of the service Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the church.

Pallbearers include Trey, Jacob, Duncan, Lucas, & Adam Smith
