Rustin James Roy Means

Rustin James Roy Means, age 38, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and lived in Cannon County.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Barbara Rains Brown and Dan Brown, Sr. of Sequatchie, TN; Father, Russell Means of Wayne, Michigan; 3 Children, Kailee, Thomas, and Daniel Means all of Woodbury; Grandfather, Roy Rains of Woodbury; Half-sister & brother, Brittney Means of Sandusky, Ohio and Brighton Means of Wayne, Michigan; Step-Siblings, Austin Brown of Chattanooga, Ashley Jackson of Sequatchie, Angela Sipos of Auburn, AL, and Dan Brown Jr. of Fort Myers, FL. He is also survived by his special aunt, Sonda (David) Reed, Debbie (Ronnie) Hall and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lillian Rains Hyde and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Means and his uncles, Gayle & Tommy Rains.

Rustin was a member of the Church of Christ and worked in auto sales. His most important accomplishment in his life was caring for his autistic son, Thomas. 

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Greggory and Bro. Bryan Pitts officiating.  Interment will follow in the Midway Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 2 pm to 8  pm Wednesday, February 21, 2018. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to F.U.N. a non profit organization for special needs children in Cannon Co.  Donations may be made through Ashley Fann Skelton or Woodbury Funeral Home.
