Ray Wimberly Obituary

Ray Morris Wimberly, 77, passed away, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Woodbury Health and Rehab.  He was a native of Cannon Co.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan F. Wimberly of Bradyville; son, Ray Daniel (Kelly) Wimberly of Woodbury; granddaughter, Lacy Nicole (Landon) Hunt of Hillsboro; great grandson,  L.J. Hunt of Hillsboro; sister, Judy Mooneyham of Woodbury and nieces, Christy Mooneyham, Kim McPeak and Terri (Jason) Tenpenny.  Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Euclid and Estes DeBerry Wimberly; his brother, Douglas Wayne Wimberly and brother-in-law, Glen Hoyte Mooneyham.
 
Morris was a member of the Baptist church and was a factory worker.  He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and loved his family.  He was also a member of the National Guard for 6 years and the Cannon Co. Senior Center.
 
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Monday, July 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Amity Cemetery.  Pallbearers include, Daniel Wimberly, Lacy and Landon Hunt, Jason Mitchell, Andy Davis, Stetson Blanton, and Jason Tenpenny.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Sunday, July 29, 2018.
