James "Tooney" Anthony Cummings

James "Tooney" Anthony Cummings, age 73, of Woodbury passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.  He was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Freda Davis Cummings of Woodbury; Daughter, Jackie Lacey of Woodbury; Grandchildren, Blake Cummings & Ashley Green of Woodbury; Aunts, Jean & Ray Nichols and Jewell Tarpley; and Cousins, Melba & Billy Nichols, Harold Patrick, Buford & Deb Patrick, Shane & Pat Nichols, Ronnie & Gerri Nichols, and Sandy & Mike Halliburton.

Tooney was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ and was retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation where he was a supervisor.  He enjoyed hunting.

Funeral Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. James McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 9 Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the funeral home.
