J. C. Rogers

Mr. J.C. Rogers, age 86, died Saturday December 22 at his home in Readyville following a sudden illness.  He was a native of Cannon County and the son of the late Jake Rogers and Annie Bell Dabbs Rogers and was preceded in death by his wife, Whyte Whitfield Rogers and his daughter Becky Anne Rogers.  He was a member of the Science Hill Church of Christ and retired from Samsonite.  He enjoyed woodworking, carving and eating at the Cracker Barrel.  J.C. loved the great outdoors.

J.C. is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Tony Manning of Smyrna.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday December 24 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Nickey Nichols officiating.  Internment will follow at Curlee Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM until time of service.
