Donald Ray Barrett, 81, Sat., December 09, 2017 at St. Thomas Rutherford.  He was a native of Cannon Co. TN.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Prater Barrett of Woodbury; children, Denise (Scottie) Caffey, Donna (Ricky) Davis, Annette (Joe) Rice, Lori (Steve) Jones all of Woodbury, Michael (Leslie) Prater of KY, Darcy Lack and Scott Barrett both of Murfreesboro; Sisters-in-law,  Linda (Dicky) Bedwell, Mary Wiley Gunter, Shirley (Earl) St. John of Nashville; Brothers-in-law, Leon (Audrey) Morris of Murfreesboro and Wayne Watson of Woodbury; Grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends also survive.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Did & Lizzie Wimberly Barrett; Sister & Brother-in-law, Georgia & Tadpole Lance, Sister-in-law, Loretta Dodd and the mother of his children, Martha Jo Watson Barrett.
 
Donald was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran of the Army.  He was well known as a Farrier, Farmer and was retired from Bunny Bread.  He was a member of the Cannon Co. Walking Horse Association and former board member.  Donald was one of the original signers to form the CCWHA Campground.  He loved the mountain and wanted to make sure the campground was kept up for generations to come.
 
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup, Kathy Grant, Joe Rice and Raymond Robinson officiating.  Interment will follow Riverside Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from  4 pm to 9 pm Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
