Please take comfort in the knowledge that God has made a provision for those lost to us in death.  The Bible says, "this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercise faith in him should have life, and I will resurrect him on the last day,"(John 6:40).  Jesus gives us hope in the fact that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life. So while we greive now for those lost in death, the best is yet to come.

God's Lent Child

"I'll lend you for a little time a child of mine", God said.
"For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years or twenty two or three.
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll wear a smile to gladden you but if his stay be brief,
You'll have life's precious memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught in life I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over in my search for parents true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's road, I selected you.
Will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate Me when I come to call and take him back again?
I recall, I heard them say, "Dear Lord, Thy will be done.
For all the joy Thy child will bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shower him with all he needs and love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've shared, forever grateful stay.
But if the a angels call for him much sooner than we'd planned,
Tears will fall in mourning but Your Will is our command."
