Wilma Jo Melton, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 07, 2016 at Alive Hospice following an extended illness.  She was a native of Cannon Co.

She is survived by her children, Donna Melton Schneider (Bob) of Louisville, Roy Melton (Marcel) and Paula Jo (Stephen) Warren both of Woodbury; Grandchildren, Angie Gilley, Rob & Josh Schneider, Adam & Alan Melton and Taylor Warren; Great Grandchild, Chloe Adcock; Siblings, Ann McBride, Faye Northcutt-Knox and Richard Northcutt all of Woodbury; Sister-in-law, W.T. Melton of Woodbury.  She is also survived by her loving caregivers.  

She was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ, Friends of Adams Library and the Cannon Co. Historical Society. Wilma Jo was a retired Nurses Aide from the Cannon Co. Health Dept.  She was truly the matriarch of the Melton Family. 

Ms. Melton was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Mason & Esther West Mason; baby sister, Gloria Mason; husband, Paul McKinley Melton; Son, Steven Melton; daughter-in-law, Susan E. Melton; Foster parents, Nolan Anderson & Annie LeFevers Northcutt.

Funeral Services will be 12 noon Friday, June 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 9 pm Thurs, June 9, 2016 and 10 am until time of service Friday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Adams Library, Cannon Co. Historical Society or Alive Hospice.
