Ruth Witty, age 82, passed away Saturday November 12, 2016 at Woodbury Health Care Center following an extended illness.

     She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Darlene Witty of Morrison; daughter, Andrea Pelham of Woodbury;  2 granddaughters:  Heather and her husband Nathan Brown of Franklin and Megan Witty of Morrison; great grandson, Witton Brown of Franklin and 1 sister, Lois Basham of Murfreesboro.

     Ms. Ruth was the daughter of the late Charlie H. & Nancy Ann Holt Lewis.  She was also was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Lee Arnold Witty and a sister Jean Barnes.  She was a native of Cannon County, living most of her life in the Ivy Bluff Community, she was a graduate of Woodbury Central High School, class of 1951.   Ms. Ruth was a member of the McMahan Church of Christ and retired from Colonial Corp. 

     Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday November 14 at Midway Cemetery with Bro. Jeff McMahan officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday.
