Oakley Carlie Blanton, 80, passed away Friday, June 02, 2017 at Woodbury Health and Rehab.  He was a native of Cannon Co.

He is survived by his Son & Daughter-in-law, Tim & Janie Blanton of Woodbury; Grandson,  Clint Blanton (Jerrilyn) of Unionville; Great Granddaughter, Carlie Blanton of Unionville; Siblings, Arnetta Carrick, Jimmy Ray (Carolyn) Blanton and Gladys (Larry) Tucker all of Woodbury, Melba (Leo) Jacobs of Centertown; Sister-in-law, Imogene Blanton of Woodbury; Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

Oakley was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Inez Bell Blanton and his brothers, Bobby Joe and Aaron Blanton. 
 
He worked 20 years at Worthing Bag, 25 years at Carrier Corp. and the Cannon Co. Convenience center.   Oakley was of the Baptist faith.
 

Funeral Services will be 4 pm Monday, June 05, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell & Bro. David Gilley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Centerhill Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 12 pm – 8 pm Sunday, June 4, 2017
