Meriam J. Smithson, 79, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Woodbury Health and Rehab.  She was a native of Cannon Co.

She is survived by her son, Ken Smithson of Woodbury; Grandson, Jake Smithson of Woodbury; Brother, Hobert & Betty Smithson of Paris, IL.; Niece, Conchita Watts of Murfreesboro; Nephews, Mark Smithson of Milton, Stacy Smithson of Columbia, SC, Brett Smithson of Neosho, MO. And Monte Patterson of Murfreesboro; Special Friends who met once a month for lunch, Bess Finley, Louise Smithson, Shirley Montgomery, Fay Elam and Pat Fann.

Ms. Smithson was preceded in death by her parents, Milton B. & Irene Williams Smithson; her husband, Wiley Smithson; brothers, Wilburn & Clyde Smithson and sister, Vivian Patterson.
 
Meriam was a member of the Iconium Church of Christ and was a bookkeeper at Bank of Commerce, Bank of Cannon Co. and Woodbury Builders Supply.  She also worked in the Cannon Co. Trustee’s office.
 

Graveside Services will be 11 am Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Iconium Cemetery with Bro. Bob Deason officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 and Thursday from 9 am till 11 am at Woodbury Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Iconium Cemetery Fund.
