Sending my deepest condolences, love and prayers for the entire Higgins family. "Granny" was precious to me and all those who knew her. I will always cherish my memories of time spent with the Higgins family, who were like family to me. Granny was the matriarch of the family and a true Christian woman who we could use more of in this world. She will truly be missed and was loved by so many. You are all in my thoughts and prayers today. God bless you all. Rest now, Granny Higgins. Your work here on Earth is done.

Didn't know Granny for very long but I had the great pleasure of being able to share some stories and lots of laughs with of her for a short time in her life. Met her family and could see what a great mother/grandmother she was just by the love shown my all her family to her. May you find some level of comfort which each passing day. Thanks for sharing a little bit of Granny with me.

I was always touched by this wonderful soul whenever I saw her. She never remembered who I was, but that didn't stop her from always having a smile and being chatty. She always asked after me and my family.
97 years, is a blessed long life.
I am proud she was able to meet the generations of grandchildren that came into her family.
And I know that they will always remember the kind soul she was and will look on her memory with fondness.
I certainly will.

Heaven has sure received a special angel. I have so many childhood memories. Huge breakfast, suppers, holidays, I always had my name on an Easter egg on the tree and a gift to go rustle up. She always made me feel at home and part of the family. I took on her "egg tree" tradition and do it every year with my own kids. She touched my life with the sweetest memories that will last a lifetime.
