Houston Parker, Jr.

Houston Parker, Jr., age 70, of McMinnville passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at his home.  He was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Martha Lynn Braswell of McMinnville; Children, Brad (Tiffany) Parker of Woodbury & Melissa Cantrell (Jeremy) Lance of McMinnville; Grandchildren, Mackenzie & Mackayla Parker; Brother-in-laws & Sister-in-laws, Bernie Brazle, Faye Reed, Ray & Joan Braswell, and Louise & Paul Foster; Uncle & Aunt, Grover & Mary Parker.  Several nieces, nephews, & friends also survive.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Houston Parker, Sr. & Martha Davis Parker, and an infant son.

He was a member of the Blues Hill Church of Christ and was retired from Carrier after 34 years.  He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the United States Army.  Mr. Parker enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting, but loved spending time with his granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be 1 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bros. Jerry Gilley & David Gilley officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 8 PM Monday, January 29, 2018.
