Elsie Bell Duke Rogers, 89, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Vanderbilt Hospital. She was a native of Cannon Co. and lived in Murfreesboro.       

She is survived by her granddaughters, Melinda Rowen & Renee McCormick both of Murfreesboro; Grandson, David & Jasmine Rowen of Lakewood, CA. and Sister-in-law, Sue Rogers  Spry of Gallatin.

Ms. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Duke & Martha Taylor Duke; husband, Vester Lee Rogers; daughter, Pattie Rowen and siblings, Grandville, Arland, Colbert, Perry, Lawton, Nola, Irene, Lera, Laurae & Francis.

Elsie was a homemaker and a member of the Kingwood Church of Christ.  She loved to paint landscapes and floral scenes.  She also loved to do all kinds of crafts.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with visitation from 11 am until 1 pm.  Interment will follow in the Cherry Cemetery.
