Earl Hollis, age 86 of Woodbury, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at his home.  He was a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Eva Ammons Hollis of Woodbury; Children, Douglas (Gerri) Helms of Hendersonville, Darlene (Johnny) Dyer of Gordo, AL, John Helms of Woodbury, & Paul (Carol) Helms of Tuscaloosa, AL; Sisters, Lavada Scott of Woodbury and Sara Jeffries of Yellville, AR.  Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorford Hollis and Adeline Simpson Hollis; and Children, Nancy Gail Kelly and Sara Jane Martin.

Mr. Hollis was a member of the Church of Christ was a retired custodial engineer at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center.  He was a veteran of the Army where he served in Korea.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Gilley officiating.  Interment will follow at Thyatira Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, October 25, 2016 and 10 AM until time of service Wednesday.
