Douglas H. Lindy Huddleston

Douglas H. Lindy Huddleston, 88, passed away Tuesday, May 03, 2016 at Stones River Hospital. He was a native of Las Vegas, N.M. and lived in Woodbury.

He is survived by his wife of almost 69 years, Geneva Marie Sparks Huddleston of Woodbury; Daughters, Marsha (Richard) Holmes of Readyville and Tina (Greg) Campbell of Gassaway; Grandchildren, Douglas Holmes, Brett (Faye) Holmes, Erika Holmes, Sarah Bailey and Esther (B.J.) Bobo; Great-grandchildren, Joshua Holmes, Emily Sparks, Kaitlyn Sparks, Brandon Bailey, Jada Bobo; Siblings: Delores (Marion) Ashcraft of St. Louis, Anna Belle (Archie) McIntosh of Irvine, KY., Mary Lou (Robert) Arnold of Xenia, OH, Royce (Sue) Huddleston of Jamestown, David (Maggie) Huddleston of Allardt, Luretha (Darrell) Hughes of Jamestown, Mary Ann Huddleston Kennedy of Kingston; Sister-in-law, Brenda Huddleston of Oneida. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A member of the 1st Baptist church, American Legion and the Cannon Co. Senior Citizen Center, he was a veteran of the Army where served in WWII. He worked in Construction.

Mr. Huddleston is preceded in death by his parents, Maynard Brance & Leetha Tuttle Huddleston, his son, Terry Glynn Huddleston; siblings, Alice (Howard) Estes, Maynard Brance Huddleston, Jr. and Gladys Huddleston Grossman.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Hunter Hay and Bro. Royce Huddleston.  Interment will follow in Riverside Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Friday, May 06, 2016.
