Charles “Chuck” “Pappy” Reed passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

He was born April 27, 1946, in Nashville, TN., to the late Charles Allen and Helen Frances (Dixon) Reed.

Chuck was Realtor for more than 40 years and served as Agent/Broker for Ole South Properties.  He attended Wood Church of Christ in Woodbury.

His family includes his wife Regina Reed of Woodbury, children Lieutenant Colonel Jim Reed and wife Shelia, of Cookeville, Brandi Prater Higgins, of Woodbury and Travis Prater and wife, Meredith, of Murfreesboro; 2 brothers Rex Randal Reed and wife Patsy, David Reed and wife Brenda, his sister, Nancy (Reed) Tenpenny and husband Gary, all of Smyrna; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Grant, Andrew, Benjamin, Caden Reed, Kole and Kennedi Higgins; a niece Kim Reed and 2 nephews Van Tenpenny and Mike “Bubba” Reed.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 20 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Reed & Travis Prater officiating.  Burial will follow at Wood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday 11:00 AM until time of service.
